- Studied physics, Protestant theology and Jewish studies at Tübingen, Bochum, Berlin and New York.
- 1998 – 2002, rabbinic studies and smicha (ordination) at the Schechter Institute for Jewish Studies in Jerusalem
- 2002 – 2006, Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Weiden, in southwest Germany.
- 2006 – to present, Rabbi of the Oranienburger Strasse Synagogue, www.or-synagoge.de
- 2002 – 2008, Managing Director of Masorti e.V. – Association for the Promotion of Jewish Education and Jewish Life in Berlin – with a kindergarten and school. www.masorti.de
- Founding member and Executive Vice President/Treasurer of the European Region of the Rabbinical Assembly.
- Founding member of the General Rabbinical Conference of the Central Council of Jews in Germany.
- Author and editor of publications, such as “Sympathie Magazin Judentum Verstehen“ (Sympathie Magazin Judentum Verstehen - Sympathy Magazine – Understanding Judaism) as well as Pluspunkt Deutsch für jüdische Zuwanderer – a German language instruction book geared towards Jewish immigrants, in cooperation with the Cornelsen Publishers and the Central Council of Jews in Germany.
- Coordinator for religion classes conducted outside of Jewish schools.
