Project Kesher, a Jewish women's rights organization, founded in 1989 by the US-American Sallie Gratch and currently operates in 185 communities in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Israel and the U.S.. Inspired by Jewish values of Kesher programs should contribute to a pluralistic community, committed to social justice, build, and support for civic engagement across ethnic, religious and national boundaries. The Kesher programs must promote the goal of empowering women to qualify them for leadership positions, their economic independence and to build regional networks to issues that affect women, such as health work, domestic violence or trafficking of women together.
